Adhari Park |
Adhari Park in Bahrain is a goldmine for parents wondering what to do
with overactive children. The solution is spread across 165,000 square
metres of indoor and outdoor rides, food and shopping.
The park is divided into 6 areas; the cool Groovy Town, the active
Sports Camp, the mysterious Discovery Village, the aptly named Indoor
Area, the main mall and the food court. Aiming to become the top family
attraction in the area, the park has 34 rides, family recreation
facilities and a shopping mall. Fun comes in all shapes and sizes, from
go-carting to bumper cars, trains, inflatable castles, tug boats,
slides, mini golf, the Spinning Madness rollercoaster and the list goes
on. If it's too hot outside, the indoor area has billiards, an arcade
and a bowling alley; bring on those snazzy shoes!
If you're not a child, you'll probably wish you were. |

race events are available for both junior and adult drivers; a minimum
of four drivers is required to race. Karts, race suits and crash helmets
are supplied by the venue. |

The
Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park |
|
The
Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park claims to be the biggest in the
Middle East. Beat the heat in one of the many pools, ride the slides or
try the family raft ride. The lush green oasis has waterfalls,
submarine caves and even raging rivers. The high-tech aquatic rides have
been set in a landscape aiming to recapture the ancient history of
Bahrain by integrating the Dilmun period into the park's theme. Dilmun
is the setting of the Sumerian creation myth and is described as "the
place where the sun rises". According to legend it was here that
Ziusudra, the hero of the Sumerian flood, was taken by the gods and
given eternal life. |
